Fiscal Responsibility Insuring our city government is cost-efficient and accountable to the taxpayers. In both private industry and for the city, I’ve lived and led through tough times and hard choices. We need that experience and proven leadership more than ever as we face the challenges of
Livability Preserving our small town quality of life and promoting vibrant neighborhoods for all our residents with their rich diversity of voices and cultures.
Public Safety Unwavering committment to providing our police and fire fighters with the equipment and technology they need to protect us and make Canby one of the safest cities in Oregon.
Growth To protect our livability, we must carefully manage our growth with safe, quality neighborhood designs, and keep our infrastructure ahead of the demand.
Transportation Hemmed in on three sides by rivers, bi-sected by 99E, outsiders using our neighborhoods as a bypass for I-205, our worst streets are county owned, and we're growing. I will continue to help our city work with Clackamas County and ODOT on solid solutions for Canby. I support using our share of the 6% county gas tax (M3-509) to upgrade and assume ownership of the county-owned streets in our city.
Investing in business and infrastructure It's been my privilege to help lead in fostering a thriving Canby, with a vital downtown, the Metro area's largest development-ready industrial park, a spacious new library and consolidated city hall.
Marijuana Dispensaries M3-483 When making council decisions, I ask myself "How does this help Canby? How does this help our children?" I do not believe that local dispensaries improve Canby, especially for our children. As for Measure 3-484, 3% city tax on marijuana sales, I support it. If dispensaries are legalized, then let's use the tax revenue to help offset increased law enforcement costs.
Re-Elect
I believe people want city government that is efficient, effective, and gets the job done, with a minimum of interference in our lives and wallets.
Experience. Proven Leadership.
